  • The house of Lacloche is one of the glories of Parisian jewelry. After modest beginnings on rue de Châteaudun in 1892, it established itself on rue de la Paix, with branches in London, Madrid and the seaside resorts of Nice, Biarritz, Cannes, Deauville, Saint-Sébastien and more.

The Lacloches experienced a meteoric rise from the Belle Époque, seducing the crowned heads of England, Spain, Greece and Siam, as well as the aristocracy and Hollywood.

Renowned for the elegance and refinement of their manufacturing, the models signed by Lacloche Frères, then Jacques Lacloche, were designed by the best workshops in Paris, such as Langlois, Péry, Rubel, Strauss Allard and Meyer or Verger, to which this work pays tribute.

Drawing on the family archives and two extraordinary unpublished albums of gouaches of jewelry, and boxes and clocks made for the International Exhibition of 1925, this first monograph highlights, through more than 700 documents, the exceptional creations of Art Nouveau and Art Deco jewelers in the 1960s.
